San Juan Sunday Blue laws??

will I be able to buy wine on Sunday in San Juan? We don't arrive until after midnight ( 1am Sunday morning). I was hoping to find a liquor/wine store near the hotel.

You can buy after 11 am on Sunday. If you wish to board early you can leave the ship on a wine buying expedition and return in plenty of time for sailing. The store at Pan Am pier has a very limited selection of wine. In addition to groceries wine is sold in drugstores like CVS.

We bought wine near our hotel on Sunday morning.

The liquor store within the Pan Am pier has a very limited supply of alcohol, soft drinks, mixers, water bottles, etc. If you can, buy at a grocery store instead. Also, if you plan on checking in past 7:30pm, the Pan Am liquor store is pretty much wiped clean by then.
