WiFi for free at ports

Are there even random wifi spots (unsecured) at all like they have stateside?

 

When you are in port, can you access a land wifi like you often can at a port in other countries?

Which ports are you interested in? I know Piraeus has free Wifi.

Izmir, Athens, Malta, Rome......and Alexandria-I do know that Alexandria has ZIP right now though.

 

I really have only taken my laptop when we have gone vacationing as we have done it all DIY in Europe thus far. We could usually find an internet cafe if we needed one but I don't want to drag my laptop on land during day excursions.
