Express Breakfast

I've searched but can't seem to get a description about what the "express breakfast" is. How does it differ from just a buffet or a sit down?

It's served in the MDR, menu is limited to the items they've prepared ahead. We tried it once on Solstice last year and were disappointed. Eggs were runny, toast was cold. I'd recommend either the buffet, or take the time to order a decent breakfast in the MDR made to order.

Thanks for the heads up. Think I'll order room service or make the hubbie run to the buffet on those early port days. Do they have trays in the buffet to bring stuff back?

I honestly can't recall if they have trays, and it may depend on the ship. We did the same thing, got a plate of food from the buffet and brought it back to the cabin to enjoy on the balcony. Tell hubby to make two trips!:cool::D

We tried express breakfast once. We had no choices. A pre-prepared plate was plopped down in front of us. We had a choice of drinks, but when I asked for decaf it did not arrive until I was nearly finished with my meal. I would not recommend the express breakfast!

The S class ships do not have trays. M class used to - not sure if they still do.
