Belize Tourism Board Posted February 4, 2011 #26 Share Posted February 4, 2011 Hi Drafterdw & Snorkel2Much, Thanks so much for your questions. We can certainly address your concerns. Belizean tender operators are required by the Port of Belize to have one life jacket per person for the capacity of the vessel, as well as brief riders on how to use the jackets and where they are stored on the boat. As it relates to your question about locals, our tender operators, tour operators and service providers have expressed nothing by excitement about working with Carnival and servicing their passengers. Carnival comprises 70% of all ships calls to Belize and 60% of all cruise ship passengers, so our cruise sector workers greatly value Carnival's presence, and they are doing everything possible to continue building a strong, positive relationship with Carnival. We sincerely hope this answers your questions. Please let us know if there is any additional information we can provide. Thanks, BTB
triphopcooper Posted February 5, 2011 #27 Share Posted February 5, 2011 I have been informed that ships regularly scheduled to call on Belize this coming week we will be going to Belize. However, the situation is not completely cleared so we will still have to take it week by week. I'll advise on the following week as soon as I have confirmation one way or the other. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.
