carnival glory sailing of 2/19

i was on the glory last week also... it was my first cruise.. of course lots of disappointment in changes....personally 100.00 was a small compansation for or loss...what a shock whwn we pulled into Freeport.. im from the detroit area and it looked like we were docking on the Detroit River..lol....there was a group of 30 of us as my nephew was married on the ship before we left port... and we all made the best of the situation and had a good time...but it didnt make up for the fact we didnt get to the ports we had signed for...also did you know the power when out for a breif moment at about 2 am sun morn??i was in the casino... one of the gentlemen working in the casino said it affected the whole ship. and visibly rattled everyones nerves.... i would hope carnival would give a bit more....maybe a small gesture of compensation besides the on board credit which i know the got back and then some...i guess all we can do is wait and see. it will not affect my future plans for a cruise but i will definately read the fine print better and sooner than i did....BTW most of the cruise was pretty rocky... lots of clanging and banging and lotsssssss of stopping in the middle of nowhere.....good luck to all future glory cruisers.......

I am going on the Glory in May, I know thats a while off, but I'm getting nervous. Will the ship still have problems? I hope they just didn't bandaid the problem. Surely not. Sorry your first cruise was a let down. I've only cruised once, last year and had the time of my life. I hope this cruise is going to be ok.

phoebie123 .... So agree that $100 was an insult to you, your family, and all others on that cruise!

 

Forget the "fine print"! What was lost in PR is irreversible!

We're sailing the western itinerary on April 9th...hopefully, we won't have the same issues that you did...I'm more concerned about the rocking and rolling than the itinerary!
