Deckhawk Posted February 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2011 Just a random craps question: How do the dealers at casinos pay out .50 winnings. For example, if based on my bet I should make 20.50, will they give me 21 or 20? I was at a casino that was rounding up recently and I wondered if this is consistent. Seemed like they should have made me round off the bet so there were not problems...
MrCo9 Posted February 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2011 Other than laying the 4 or 10 for $41, what bet would pay $20.50?? Every casino I have worked at any bet that should pay $**.50 pays $** NOT $**+1. Other than a $3 6 or 8 at a casino that uses "Courtesy chips". These will be either $.25 or $.50 chips that are used for paying a $3 6 or 8, they can not be used to bet a $4.50 6 or 8 or used to pay $7.50 when some newb bets $5 odds on a 5 or 9. Only bets that can be made with these chips is for the dealers.
