Places to Snorkel off the Beach

We like snorkeling off the beach, rather than off a boat because we're not strong swimmers. We have our own equipment. What beaches at Cabo, Mazatlan, and PV are recommended for snorkeling? Like the idea of going to a hotel and paying to use their beach/pool, have done that in Jamaica before. Our cruise is Vision of the Seas on Oct. 30.

People have mentioned the water is cold in the Pacific ports off Mexico. Should we even bother to take our snorkel gear? Hopefully wherever we go to snorkel off beaches will be a little warmer, since we will not be in really deep water.
