Where can we buy wine in San Juan before boarding the ship?

i wanna know too!!! good wine - not what we refer to as butt-wine...

The liquor store right in the ship's departure terminal building has a small but decent selection of wine. I was able to get a Campo Viejo Gran Reserva Rioja and a Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay to take on the ship.

There's also a CVS down the street from The Sheraton that sells a limited selection of wine and liquor. Not much to choose from, but better than not having any! :D

We're the Groupors, did you happen to know if the 1.5 liter bottles of chardonnay were available at the pier store?

The CVS is located in the terminal across from Old Town, where they dock on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary. But if your are going on the Southern Caribbean cruise which departs fromthe PanAm Terminal, the liquor store inside the cruise terminal is your only choice, without having to go out of your way.

So I don't mind going out of my way to get good wine....if I'm taking the time and trouble to bring a couple of bottles, I want the good stuff....flying in a day early....plenty of time to explore and willing to spend the dough to get a taxi to a good wine store.....any suggestions?

Not that I noticed. I think I would have bought the 1.5L of the Chardonnay if it had been available.
