Correia_Cruiser Posted April 17, 2005 #28 Share Posted April 17, 2005 We were having breakfast back of the ship...as I drew cup of coffee to my lips, I looked out at the wake of the ship...shazaam!!!a whale jumped out of the water completely and splashed his welcoming us to baja....the whale continued to breach several more times along side the wake...it was memorable... also being able to share this cruise experience with scruffy was more than any human could imagine...see>>> http://community.webshots.com/album/278774202fkEtaR I saw some of your pictures, and was wondering what the "Mexican Dancers" picture was from? Was this a show or excursion? Also, what port? It looks like the type of thing my DH and I would love to do once we get there in May. Thanks! sandg2006 Posted March 3, 2006 #32 Share Posted March 3, 2006 How did you book parasailing in Mazatlan? We were thinking of doing that, but didn't see anything listed under the cruise line...we're taking Princess.
melika091900 Posted March 3, 2006 #33 Share Posted March 3, 2006 How did you book parasailing in Mazatlan? We were thinking of doing that, but didn't see anything listed under the cruise line...we're taking Princess. just go to the beach,,, in the golden zone.. all of the people are there on the beach offering parasailing, it seemed like it was 40$ per person ,, but im sure you can negotiate.... they will take anything... alot of people were doing this in mazatlan. theres also a place called shellcity in mazatlan, awesome deals.. the beach entrance is right across the street from there.. so you can tell the taxi to take you to shell city ( or else they will take you to diamonds international) have a great trip.... Winegirl from CA Posted March 3, 2006 #34 Share Posted March 3, 2006 2. Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta - great 45 minute catamaran ride to a great beach about as close to a Caribbean or Hawaiian beach as you can get on this cruise. Great crew. Once there margaritas flow freely, kyaks and snorkeling available, food was great. There are other activities as well. Mostly all inclusive except for massage - I think that was the only extra charge. We've been there twice and will go again. We saw several turtles from the catamaran. Keep an eye out - they dive in a hurry when the boat gets close!! What was the name of this tour? Did you book thru the ship? This sounds like something we would love to do. Thanks :)

morriscats Posted March 5, 2006 #41 Share Posted March 5, 2006 In Mazatlan, Randi's Happy Horses for sure. My kids and grandkids loved it and the beach and Victor's restaurant on the beach is total relaxation. In PV we have done both Krystal Hotel and Paradise Beach tour. Both were nice. Lurkyloo Posted March 5, 2006 #42 Share Posted March 5, 2006 Let me think... that thrill of first stepping foot on board just lazing by the pool with an icy foo foo drink staring out to sea looking for pools of dolphins being waited on hand and foot dressing up for formal night the lush, tropical jungle and the beaches of Puerto Vallarta Randi's Happy Horses and hanging out on the beach at Stone Island Cruising around the rock formations in Cabo And too many other things too numerous to mention! ;)

bc713 Posted March 13, 2006 #45 Share Posted March 13, 2006 Just got back yesterday & loved everything about this tour. -Especially, as has been said time & time again, Randi's Happy Horses! What a fantastic time!! Some had never ridden, some were very experienced & most of us were somewhere in between & all could ride at their own speed. The food at Victor's afterwards...delicious & reasonable. Shrimp the size of lobster tails & tender as they come. Medano beach at Cabo (expensive tho') & Mismaloya Beach at Vallarta. Great cruise. morriscats Posted March 16, 2006 #49 Share Posted March 16, 2006 I think it would be great fun if all us "Randi Fans" could meet at the same time - we could all book the tour and have fun on the beach! We could all take Randi the goodies she loves too. A big party!
Lurkyloo Posted March 17, 2006 #50 Share Posted March 17, 2006 I'm considering a Mexican Riviera cruise in December and am glad you posted this to see what there's to do and whether I should book the trip or not. So far I haven't seen much that I can do with my 9 year old. He would love Randi's Happy Horses on Stone Island! We went when Ryan was 11 and it was the one thing he insisted we do again! It was a blast - and the banana boat rides after the ride were also a hit!
