Hours of the Buffet?

I've searched on here for the time of the buffet but only found that it closes around 11pm, but I am wondering what time it opens up for dinner. My husband and I like to eat early (like 5-5:30) and were stuck on RCCL for it to open at 6:30, when we didn't want to order room service or get pizza.

 

Anyone know when it opens for dinner?

 

ETA: And we're on Carnival Freedom if that matters.....

It changes from day to day, depending on sea day or what time the ship is in port.

There is no set time for the buffett to open for ANY meal.

 

When it opened late on our cruises, we were still able to hit the deli, pizza or the grill by the lido pool, which will all be open before the buffett.

 

I wake up very early every day on a cruise (as I wake up at 3 AM ish every day for my job) and the breakfast opening times changing each day drives me crazy.

My cruises on the Fantasy class ships the lunch buffet usually closed around 2:30pm and re-opened around 5pm for dinner.

Just returned from Freedom....Hours for buffet were 7:30 am till 10:30 B'fast....noon till 2:30 for lunch and 6pm till 9:30 pm dinner...This was for SEA Days...When in port, b'fast started at 6:30 am

That sounds about right, I know they have shortened the hours that they are open.

Why is it a waste?

 

My wife and I rarely eat in the MDR anymore.

 

They have mostly everything they have in the MDR minus a few items.

It is definitely Not a waste to me.

 

This last cruise we only went to the MDR every night

because we set a goal to try it every night this one time.

 

 

Next cruise, I think we'll be hit or miss.

 

 

You can spend a lot of time in the MDR and sometimes not

get anything any different or better than the buffet.

And we can wear shorts and a hat at the buffet. Sorry I just had to...LOL

No we will based on what is served for dinner. Our MDR time is actually sooner than the buffet time.
