Visa Requirements ?

I have posted on the Princess board but guess its better on the UK one.

Does anyone know if we will need a double entry Visa for China? We start off in Shanghai China and then go back into China in Hong Kong, I was under the impression we dont need one for Hong Kong, so will a single one do?

We have just got a double entry for our visit to China. We fly into Beijing, then get on the ship and cruise to Dalian (1st entry, as we don't leave Chinese waters), then go to Japan, then to Shanghai (second entry). We were told by our TA and Princess that we don't need a visa for Hong Kong, but everyone's itinerary is different, so I would always check to make sure.
