Tammy25 Posted February 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2011 We are setting sail on our "Wedding Cruise" February 18th to the Bahamas. I am wondering if they have a formal night on the 3 day cruise? I called carnival and they couldn't give me an answer. She wasn't sure. I am trying to decide if I will stay in my wedding gown the first night which is the day we get married. What activities go on the first night? Wondering if we should just go to dinner in our wedding attire then enjoy some of the evening still dressed up then retire to the cabin. Any suggestions? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy another dress to change into the night of our wedding or is not worth it and just stay in the gorgeous one I spent all the money on..lol. Only problem is..it has a small train and I am not bustleing it cause it looks ridiculous! So now I'm stuck walking around carrying a train! Just looking for some suggestions and info...thanks! ATL2LAS Posted March 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2011 I did the 3 nighter on the Imagination a couple of years ago and there was an "Elegant Night". On a cruise that short I opted out and spent the night in the casino:D
Justsyd Posted March 2, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2011 How many formal nights are onboard? Which nights are they on? Most evenings we have a Cruise Casual dress code, but there are those Cruise Elegant evenings one or two nights throughout the voyage. The length of the cruise determines the number of Cruise Elegant evenings in the Dining Room. The first Cruise Elegant evening is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd day of the cruise; the second Cruise Elegant evening is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd day prior to the end of the cruise, schedules permitting. • 1-day cruise: none • 2-day to 5-day cruise: one Cruise Elegant evening • 6-day or longer cruise: two Cruise Elegant evenings

tandemcruzr Posted March 2, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2011 My guess is that it will be the second night. First night, some guests may not have all their bags with their Elegant clothes in them. The 3rd night, you have to pack and leave your bags in the hall for pick up if you're not carrying your bags off.
elcuchio24 Posted March 2, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2011 On the 3 nighters it's almost always on the 2nd night.
jadejazzkayla Posted March 2, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2011 thanks for your reply tande. i was afraid it might be the second night even though it is our only "at port" night. our group will be off the ship the second night during dinner but if the elegant night is one of the other two nights, we all want to partake but we all don't want to go thru making sure everyone has all what they need and then pack it if we are definitely going to miss it. ATL2LAS Posted March 2, 2011 #9 Share Posted March 2, 2011 I vaguely remember it going on while we were in Nassau. I felt bad for the people with early dining. They were at dinner while the boat was leaving.:(
