Guranteed Room and Luggage Tags

Has anyone had any experience with a guaranteed room and the luggage tag? What I mean is DW's mother is booked on our cruise leaving this Saturday, she booked a guaranteed room and still has not been assigned a room. Her luggage tag simply states TBA. If she does not find out the room until check in, her luggage will have already been turned over to the Porters. Has anyone had this happen and if so any problems getting your luggage delivered to your room?

We booked a guarantee and are also leaving Saturday. I checked our reservations on line every day and a few days ago suddenly our room assignment was on there. Did not receive and email or call to let me know, so I think you have to just check online. I am able to print out my luggage tags.

 

However, I have heard that some people do not get their assignment until they get to the ship.

We booked guarantee last cruise and found out our room number only 3 days before sailing.

 

I was worried too, but just kept checking the site. As I was advised, I would call Carnival tomorrow if she doesn't have them by then ~ but check the site again, first.

The porters will have a current and up todate list of all cabin assignments. They also have tags to put on your checked bags so no need to waste the ink and paper printing them out.
