Rm U18 Empress Deck on Inspiration?

Hi, My husband and I are booked on the Inspiration in Rm U18 Empress deck. Can anyone give me any thoughts or reviews about this room and ship location? (Toward the very front of the ship) Good, bad or otherwise. Thanks :confused:

-You may hear some wave noise hitting the side of the ship if the seas are right (rocks you to sleep.)

-You may hear some anchor noise up or down but usually you're about to get to a port and so that's a good "alarm clock."

-It's a nice location near the atrium elevators

-Nothing above or below you but other cabins so enjoy your cruise. :)

We had U16 on Carnival Fascination. We loved the cabin and location.

U18 will be on Upper Deck, not Empress. E18 is on Empress.

We've been in the front of the ship twice. If you have a tender port you will hear the anchor drop for only a few minutes. A couple of times we felt a gently sway but not for long. We really enjoyed our cruises, and we would not hesitate to book the front of the ship again.

We were in Room U17 on the Fantasy and we LOVED it. As someone else mentioned, we did hear (and feel) the anchor dropping while in port, but yes it was a great alarm clock, lol!

Here is a picture of our room - we moved the bed from the left wall to the back wall because I liked it under the window better, hehe :o
