Jewel or Pearl

Looking at August 2012 to Alaska. I am in a scooter and will need handicapped cabin. Which ship? Any pics?

I have sailed on the Gem and Jewel. I believe the Pearl is exactly like the Gem. Choose the Gem. Better Spinaker Lounge and Bliss lounge. Jewel does not have the bowling alleys like the Gem & Pearl. Choose the Pearl :D

A SIGNIFICANT factor, that you don't mention is itinerary. With the Pearl having Glacier Bay, that can be the preference for those who wish to have glacier viewing. Tracy Arm is a WHOLE different ball game, with it being "necessary" in my opinion to purchase the ship shore excursion. This is NOT a glacier priority. Depends on YOUR interests and what you wish to see and do in Alaska.

Budget Queen is absolutely right. The itinerary on the Pearl is far superior to the Jewel. Glacier Bay is awesome.

I am also using a scotter, and we picked the Peral. We were on the Gem (pre scotter days) and had a great time. Everything I have read, says for first time visit, this has great ports of call!!!
