Fraser Meadows Excursion vs. White Pass Summit Excursion?

Aside from a different type of engine and an additional 6 miles of track, is there a huge difference between the two train trips? The Fraser Meadows trip is about $40 more, is it worth it?

 

I also notice that the ship does not offer up the Fraser Meadows trip as an excursion at all, so we would have to book it independently.
