dulcimergirl Posted February 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2011 I love the new quietly demure commercial. Something about contrasting winter and cruising. I really liked the tune that played. altho I've forgotten it already. I was very impressed with the continunity of each shot. Congratulations RCCL, a really nice commercial I will watch over and over again. Is it new or am I just lame? Something about layers.. scuba wear, flurries, powdered sugar on cake. etc.. TEXASMUNK Posted February 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2011 It was done for the Super Bowl, and was focused on the NE United States. As usual, a bunch of folks on CC got angry because it did not feature children. It was aimed at Feb/Mar cruises...when kids are in school. One of RCI's finer advertising efforts! I agree with you! sadie8 Posted February 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 26, 2011 I've been using the DVR and fast forwarding through commercials. When do they usually air it. Would love to see a good RCCL commercial.

RozWazowski Posted February 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Yeah, I thought it was a great commercial, I have even hit rewind on our DVR just to watch it  I like the ones that feature "family" but it does make me feel better to see one that also features "romance" - esp since DH and I don't have kids yet AND we booked during school days. Both are nice, but this commercial was (for lack of a better word) classy
Philly Steve Posted February 26, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 26, 2011 The sixty second version is really quite good.
PLEIKU68 Posted February 26, 2011 #9 Share Posted February 26, 2011 I've heard that this is a new advertising co for RCL and if this is true they have made an excellent choice.:):)
RozWazowski Posted February 26, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 26, 2011 I also enjoyed their hold "music". someone else posted a thread about it, but it was a lot of fun.
BND Posted February 26, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Well, I can't get the song out of my head. It plays a lot on TBS and other cable channels. "It's Winter Again".
DonnaK Posted February 26, 2011 #12 Share Posted February 26, 2011 The commercial is awesome! The best since the old "lust for life" ones.
PSCruiser Posted February 26, 2011 #13 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Great commercial, but they still feel compelled to get "Why Not" in the tag line. Why not - get over your last bad ad campaign completely and rehire the agency that used "lust for life" - that beat still make me ready to cruise!
