Meishie Posted April 25, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2004 We are staying in Miami Saturday night before our cruise and we are going to bid on Priceline. We do not know which area to put in for, our choices are South Beach, Miami Downtown or Miami Beach. We figure Miami beach is too far north to bother with, so that leaves South Beach or Miami Downtown. Do any of you know the rough cab fares for Miami Downtown hotels vs. South Beach hotels from the airport and to the cruise pier? We will be two adults with probably only four pieces of luggage. Thanks. Melissa Triumph 4/03 Adventure of the Seas 11/
Vidimom Posted April 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2004 Cab fares for south beach will range between $14.00 - $20.00 depending on traffic. The downtown hotels are alot closer and run between $5.00 - $10.00. Keep in mind traffic at the port can be terrible and this will run your cab fare up quickly. A great site for bidding on hotels with all the information you may need go to www.biddingfortravel.com This site has all the inside info on Priceline. Personally I prefer Hotwire and have found a site to figure out what hotel is that is listed. The prices are set, but you can still get some great deals on there. Go to www.biddingfun.com Hope this info helps! Sensation 9/98 10th anniv. thereuare Posted April 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2004 The cab costs above are correct for the hotel to the pier, but for airport to hotel figure: South Beach: about $30 Miami Downtown: about $25 But if cost is a concern a hotel in the Soth Beach area via Priceline will cost about twice as much as one in the Downtown zone. -thereuare BetterBidding
