Have a look over at the Hotels - Pre & Post Cruise boards. You can search there and get all sorts of recommendations for San Pedro and Long Beach.

We are going on the Diamond Princess this Saturday. We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Long Beach and we are told that it is two miles from the terminal and when we get off the ship we are staying at the Coast Long Beach. I have heard good things about both of these hotels. The other hotel that is

mentioned quite often on this board is the Guest House (I think that is what it is called). We are from the East Coast and are looking forward to flying out of Boston before our next storm hits Friday afternoon and not having to look at snow for the next 11 days. :)
