airfare arangements

We are considering a viking rhine river cruise in April of 2012. I was thinking of viking handling airfare, but we would like to rental a car at Basel, and drive and tour Germany for a couple weeks before returning to the states. Can viking work with this? We thought of doing our own air, but to fly into Amsterdam and out of Basel is really costly!

ninegard - I don't believe you would be able to book a flight for 2012 at this point. I think you can only book 9 or 10 months ahead. And I don't think that open jaw flights are that much more right now....about $1200 each for economy.

 

Why don't you just call Viking and ask them if they can help?
