jodanuke Posted March 3, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2011 Crazy price for internet - 50p per minute. Or 2 pre-pay packages, the top one priced at something like £65. For people who can't go on holiday without using the internet?
kevinyork Posted March 4, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Crazy price for internet - 50p per minute. Or 2 pre-pay packages, the top one priced at something like £65. For people who can't go on holiday without using the internet? We run an internet based retail business so have to have the internet onboard to keep in touch. We buy a package prior to boarding as you get some free minutes added on top and last year Ventura had a deal whereby if you signed up onboard within the first 2 days you also got some free minutes. When we took our pre-paid voucher to activate the onboard internet he told us we qualified for both sets of free minutes which was good. We did read however that it costs the equivalent of a sports car per 2 week cruise for a ship to maintain an internet service at sea so if this is correct this explains the high prices. jeanlyon Posted March 4, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2011 If you are a member of the P&O forum, you can use it for free on board. so you just need family at home to have an ID and yu can private message on there. Costs nothing.
