martinchem Posted March 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2011 I was happy to see Carnival extend the Shareholder Benefit of OBC for sailings through July 31, 2012. I figured it would show up sometime soon, but you never know till it's in print.
golfadj Posted March 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Thanks but was not worried. I look at it as a tax free dividend.

I figured it would show up sometime soon, but you never know till it's in print. Glad to hear that. The FREE $100.00 per cruise ( seven day ) sure comes in handy... elcuchio24 Posted June 7, 2011 #7 Share Posted June 7, 2011 I wouldn't expect anything different. I would be scared to see what would happen to the stock price if they discontinued to OBC, and thousands of folks that hold the stock for only that reason suddenly sold:rolleyes::confused::eek:

elcuchio24 Posted November 25, 2011 #12 Share Posted November 25, 2011 When do they decide what happens after July 2012? It will be extended again. The board has to approve it on a year by year basis, but it will.

PAPERBKWRITER Posted November 26, 2011 #15 Share Posted November 26, 2011 As long as the competition has the perk (RCCL) it won't go away. IMO both stocks are a bargain at this time and I am adding to my portfolio.

Good luck with your dollar cost averaging.

I picked up a bunch more RCL on friday, those t/e equities are gonna get kicked around a good bit around the holidays, finally cheapening up.
