Rowena Posted March 7, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2011 Thanks wrp. Is there any assistance for people with disabilities? Yes, call them the week prior to boarding, and let them know that you are coming and need help. The will have wheel chairs (wc) and push assist to get you through the TSA scan and up to the counter, and up to your cabin. You must make it into the terminal on your own. But once inside the process is fairly smooth, dependent upon how many disabled are aboard that sailing. Best!
wrp96 Posted March 7, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2011 You can request a wheelchair for embarkation and disembarkation if you need one. I believe you do this by contacting Special Needs. If you need a wheelchair for use on the ship itself or in the ports, you need to bring one from home or rent one from a service that provides one. If you have specific access questions or if you want hints on how to make the best of your vacation with a disability, you may want to visit the Disabled Cruise Travel board http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
