Question for Oasis/Allure vets regarding St. Thomas excursion

Has anyone done a full day sail/snorkel charter off Oasis/Allure in St. Thomas? We have not been on the big ships yet and the time in St. Thomas is 9:00-5:00. I am concerned this will not give us enough time to get off the boat, taxi to Red Hook and fit in the 6 hour itinerary. I contacted the charter company and they don't see a problem but I want to try to make sure its worth the significant expense. Any personal experiences/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We did a full day sail/snorkel last month (on an Allure cruise), but we did it through RCI. We loved it. I opted to go through the ship because the port is so crowded, I did not want to worry about getting back on time.
