where do you go to have you hair braided we will be in port at 5pm till 11pm? is the flee market open at that time of day?

i never know why people do that. the locals DO NOT use any type of santitizing liquid to keep their combs in and you can probably get lice that way pretty easy.

 

also, pretty much anywhere you walk in a touristy area on almost ANY caribbean island whee a cruise ship stops, women will approach you to braid your hair. (even if you have short hair)

Depends where you are going, My wife never had a problem with her hair when done at any of the Carribbean ports, The ships are charging around 60.00 now so one of the reasons people go out to get it done is to save lots of cash.

If you live in the right neighboorhood you could get it done for $15 before you leave for vacation!

Make sure to put sunscreen on your head if you get hairbraids, or your scalp will burn! Speaking from experience!!

There is no hair braiding in San Juan. Braiding is not a big part of our culture. You would have to wait to have it done in the other ports. You are better off using your time and taking a walking tour of Old San Juan. It is rich in History.
