Everyone is judgemental...some just choose to exercise it differently..

I disagree with you ....everyone is opinionated yes but, you can state your opinion without being judgmental!!! In which I just did:D

You are just exercising your judgement as an opinion;)

It is just a different play of words. Nothing more.

I understand that comment. Some of the people in some of the area make walmart sketchy. And there are some people who think walmart is high class. I personally like walmart but there are 2 near me, one is kinda sketchy and the people are odd. The other one is different, a different clientele.

The customer makes the place. Anything that has the best prices is going to attract all types of people. Some of the best and some of the not so great either.

Same with Target. Different from one store to another.

So sad.....People with real so called "CLASS", Wouldn't be judgmental of anybody!!! I feel bad for the people that have to sail with your type! I will enjoy my first cruise more immensely for simple fact that people like yourself won't be on it! How's that for class? Oh wait I really don't care about your opinion because I am the weakest link...I mean the walmart shopper...Oh I mean the secret santa...Oh wait that website is all me just dressed up in different costume to entertain you!

I agree:)

I for one, did not click on the link..

I dunno what walmart is really as we dont have them here. But for sure if its got bargains I would be there like any other person with common sense in todays society.

We have a fair number of aristocracy clients in our business. Class - sure..

Money - well..lets just say we dont give them credit, and a few walls are now bare of the familly heirlooms :)

My husband and I, over the years have been invited to many Captains tables. Especially in the early days we were in a basics cabin. its often said to us we are "people magnets", so i would guess that's why. We are used to being in the public eye, and our smiles go a long way I think to attract people. We are very interested in what others have to say, and like to laugh - A LOT!

There was once though, quite some time ago, when there was major talk around the ship about "THAT dress" the night before at captains table. it was mine, and soooooooo many people asked me "Was that YOU last night in THAT dress. Indeed, the dress was and still is spectacular! I felt like a Royal Princess in it, and any celebrity would have been proud to walk a red carpet in it. I am sure it cost thousands and thousands... ME - i paid $20 for it in a "once loved" charity shop, and not a soul knew - THAT is CLASS!!!!

Someone mentioned that one pays more for suites in RCI, hence the "segregated" sun loungers. YES..hello, look at my suite = Royal penthouse, i KNOW how much it cost! BUT..NO WAY was I stepping behind that bl*&y cord with the social climbers:eek:

We took the royal suite (the only one incidentally on the ship, not the family suite, the Royal suite) as we had several family members travelling in cabins around the ship. We had a feeling our daughters boyfriend was going to propose to her (which he did), and also, we guessed it would be the last time we would take my mother in law cruising across the pond with us. We wanted a one off of a lifetime treat, that we could share.

But it didnt change things for us around the ship. Sure, we had a different card from everyone else (even other suites) on the ship, which made us instantly recognisable with staff. But we queued for a lounge chair, escaped the chair hogs etc, just the same as everyone else.

A lot of those cordened off chairs lay empty a lot of the time..such a shame, stupid idea as far as i was concerned.

I dont care for people who are rude, or have bad manners (same thing I guess). I totally dislike benefit fraud cheats, but that aside, if you have a smile for me, i dont really care what you do, or where you come from. If you are wearing a 2$ t-shirt, or a $5000 dolce & gabana.... who cares...

i like to dress up, but it wont stop me chatting with someone who favours jeans or shorts...i dont care!

LIVE life, Love life people!

You have no sense of humor do you?

Even though I joke about it I love sailing on Carnival they are my kind of people.

I really don't see what that has to do with anything

Are you saying that peoples income is directly related to their personality? Manners? Dress style? Consideration of others?

What exactly, apart from how much their job pays, would that information provide?

Are retirees less worthy or of a lower standard than high income earners? Or people who have lower paying careers? Or homemakers?

Since money certainly doesn't buy class I really can't see what would be garnered from such information

Actually according to studies it does indeed have a direct correlation: (Gilbert, Thompson, Hickey, Beehgley) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_class

It should be noted that Socialistic societys have a different caste system.

YMMV

It's not about being a social climber. It is how a VIP program works. Carnivals suite passengers get priority boarding because they pay more.

Any type of VIP or loyalty program works this way.......in Vegas the more money you spend the more perks you get.......frequent flyers etc.....as it should be....

Just because I am sitting in the VIP lounge chairs on RCCL does not mean I think I am better then you. It means I paid for. Big difference.....

Oh goodness no.

Just a chunk of them, but you can count me in that chunk,

since I'm not a snob and couldn't abide the very thought

of a cruise on Cunard, Crystal, Seabourn or Regency.

I've met some very nice people on Carnival cruises.

Usually it's quite a cross-section, but hey there are some cruises

that are overly-populated by The Wrong Sort.

It's life on planet Earth. ;) :)

Personally, I cruise Carnival because they are fun. Granted I have been on NCL and RCCL smaller ships and it is hard to compare, but. Carnival has a better atmosphere for my and my hubby. We like to party and have fun. If that makes it the "walmart" then so be it. I'd rather have fun with the walmart people, no matter how quirky; than spend my vacation worrying about what other people think. I probably would never sail Cunard, Crystal, Seabourn, or Regency just because that is not my style. Call me walmart if you wish.
