crusinsusan Posted March 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2005 When booking a cruisetour with a Princess Alaska cruise does it include your food as well as lodging. Is it better to do tour first or after cruise. Thanks :)
Sailingbear Posted March 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2005 Meals are not included in the land portion of the tour. Supposedly there are lots of options. Comments from anyone who has already done a cruise tour? We go in August.
MichTraveler Posted March 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2005 Most people prefer doing the land tour first, especially if you are doing it with Princess instead of on your own. The land tour can be a little stressful, depending on your itinery. That allows you to end the vacation with a cruise which is probably more relaxing. Budget Queen Posted March 8, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2005 NO meals unless specifically specified. Budget 50% more than you would at home for a cushion. :) MOST important- consider at least 7 days for the land portion, especially be aware of WHERE you are going and how much time there. Princess has a bad habit of having long transit days and limited time at the attractions. ONLY consider the Tundra Wilderness tour, never the Natural History tour in Denali Park. I find it interesting- descriptions- hectic, etc, and "needing" to relax on the land portion- Proper planning doesn't involve this and never componet of my Alaska touring. :)
cruisingfreak Posted March 8, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2005 Princess has a cruise/tour #16E, which includes most of your food. It's a 7 day tour. Minette
