Galveston Review from Hobby, Hotel & Back to Hobby

Z Limo was very good on price & to respond. However, the first driver complained constantly about the owner. We returned & they called to confirm our return trip. DH asked if the same driver would be coming. No, he was off. 30 minutes later the driver called wanting our business as he had "quit". DH explained we had confirmed and already paid. New driver comes. We are his last trip & he has been working since 10 last night (now 3 pm). He was very nice but unhappy he had to take the "fired" driver's route and his own. Not a good experience when the dispatch told him we were cash & we had already paid...

Holiday Inn Express on the SeaWall and not near very much. There is a BBQ place about a block away. Very nice facility and excellent breakfast. We took a taxi to Fisherman's Wharf & it took a while with the Mardi Gras Parade. Still worth it!:D

Our luggage was lost by the airlines and was delivered about 11 pm. There was a loud person slamming doors but that was quickly stopped by the night clerk, Adrian. Josie, on days, was also helpful. We returned here by the hotel shuttle, left our bags & then the shuttle took us back down toward the strand where we had lunch at Curt Guida's. DH had a huge club sandwhich that we took half of it with us for later. I had the blackened shrimp BLT w/avocado. Wow it was yummy!

Back to Hobby and home after a little extended time off walking on the beach! :cool:
