What area do I need to check to get a hotel close to the Port?

What is located near the port area, tourist attractions?

What luck have you had at booking hotels in San Francisco, how were the hotels and what was the price bid for how many stars?

Used Priceline for San Francisco for a trip to visit family 4 weeks ago. You will want to visit biddingfortravel.com to get tips on what area to bid and what others have sucessfully bid. We got the Grand Hyatt Union square 4**** for $60 on the first attempt and it was wonderful.
