sludger Posted March 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2011 My missus reckons that it is the moon that is causing all the seismic activity. Today it is closer to the earth than it has been for many years and it's gravitational pull is causing it. Sounds a bit "out there" for me but who knows. Paul Ps, We will be ok after today because it starts getting further away again. Australian family Posted March 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2011 Why have this post on two forums, it should have just been on this forum. This is the whole idea of these new forums to seperate posts, not duplicate them.

partymarty4878 Posted June 9, 2011 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2011 Cairns wasn't exactly "rattled" by an earthquake. It measured about 3.0 and apparently they happen every few months. They're just so small you can't feel them.
