Embassy Suites - July 2, 2004

I have reserved a room at the Embassy Suites for July 2, 2004 - night before we set sail. I have been hearing all sorts of things about the rooms and how some people say - they are not the cleanest - that bothers me. I have stayed in quite a few Embassy Suites before and never had a problem.....Hope someone can help me out with an answer..... Also staying at the Embassy Suites with NancyK and would also like to know if it is true that the free shuttle to the pier only goes after 1:15pm. Does anybody out there know how much a taxi shuttle for six people plus luggage could cost us?

If you are refering to Ft. Lauderdale, i believe it is the AmeriSuites that has had those comments (not the Embassy Suites).

On the otherhand, i have read more positive reviews than negative on both of these properties.

I just called the Embassy Suites a few days ago to ask about early check-in and the free shuttle to the port. I was told that I could sign up for the shuttle when I checked in. Also was told that the first shuttle was at 11:15, and then every hour.

I've stayed at the Embassy Suites numerous times and have never had a problem with cleanliness. A couple minor maintenance items (light bulbs burned out that the housekeeper probably never thought to test), but not a concern on clean.

As for the shuttle, they run it at different times during the seasons. High season it's reserved for guests on a special program. It's much easier in the summer season. But if you want to take a taxi, it runs about $6-8 per taxi. Ask for a van taxi to be called and you should all fit.
