Any suggestions Miami pre-cruise? Beach or S Beach or near port?

Can anyone give me a suggestion for a nice hotel for one night pre-cruise? Did you book direct or thru hotels.com or priceline? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am not familiar with Miami at all. Thanks.

We stayed at the holiday inn on south beach in August. We got it from priceline $45 it was right on the beach and had a nice pool area with bar and grill. Good luck! have a great time.

I'd recommend the downtown area of Miami.. great hotel and VERY inexpensive. Time to relax, sit by the pool, and have a nice dinner.

 

You could stay at a hotel near/on the beach but it will be a lot more money and (for me) just isn't worth the added expense for just one day (not even one day since i usually arrive in late afternoon).

I stayed at the Hyatt (thru Priceline).

 

I'd recommend any 3* hotel in the downtown zone thru Priceline as the deals there can't be beat.

We have stayed at the Roney Palce in South Beach twice and LOVED it. Beautiful resort. Its next to the Holiday Inn. Easy walk to Ocean Drive and Lincoln Rd for shopping,dining,peoplewatching.
