Buy at least 100 shares of Carnival stock...

Actually you can become a shareholder by buying just 1 share of Carnival stock! :p But you only qualify for the shareholder benefits if you own at least 100 shares.

Someone please tell us how much is the reward for being a 100 share holder & how is it paid ?

Must this be claimed & taxed like a dividend ?

Thanks.

Bill in FL

You get $50 on board credit for up to 5 day cruises and $100 for a seven day cruise. You get a larger credit on longer cruises. The OBC is non-refundable.

You need to provide a brokerage statement or like verification to CCL, which you can do through your travel agent.

We waited until price was down to $22 per share. Then bought. Yes the price goes up and down. mostly up for us. There were no diviends for a couple of years. But since we crusie twice a year in a balcony cabin that is $200 OBC per year. So for us it was a good buy. But only if you can afford to lose money in stock market.
