Pinney's beach questions

Hi,

 

My eyes are blurry from searching. We are going to take the ferry over to Nevis and want to go to Pinney's Beahc. First question, is $12.00 to $15.00 one way for a taxi to Pinney's Beach sound right? Should we arrange for the taxi to pick us back up at a certain time (we sail at 3:30) so we need to make the 1:00pm ferry.

 

Or are there public buses that run on Nevis?

 

Also, any suggestions on where to go on Pinney's Beach where we could rent loung chairs/umbreallas? I've heard of Sunshine and Chevy's. Is one nicer then another? Do ship catamarans come to both locations?

Do both or either of them rent loungers?

 

Is it worth bringing snorkel gear?
