buzz888 Posted June 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2004 Can anyone recommend a Seattle hotel that allows complimentary parking for 1 week, if you stay 1 night pre-cruise? There seems to be some park & fly hotels near the airport, but I don't know how far the port is from there? We would prefer at least a 3-4 star hotel so our car is safe. Has anyone tried parking at the port for 1 week? What was the cost and did you have any problems? Any suggestions?
CCLNCLRCICRUISER Posted June 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2004 buzz888 Have you been to this site? http://www.parksleepfly.com/ looks like they list a few hotel that will allow you to park for a week and shuttle you to the port. dst Posted June 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2004 BUZZ: can I ask why you are bringing a car to Seattle, are you driving or flying in? Seattle is a very walking friendly city and unless you are traveling outside of the city a car is really a waste of money. If you are flying into Seattle and want to take a taxi to downtown it is a flat 25.00 rate (city mandated) If you need any other info, let me know
buzz888 Posted June 10, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted June 10, 2004 We only live across the border in Vancouver so the drive is only about 2-3 hrs. (It would be nice to arrive the day before, so we're not rushed.) Is there parking at the Seattle port for one week? and is it safe. How far is the port from downtown? I'll take a look at the parksleepfly.com website too! thanks for the suggestions
Suzanne123 Posted June 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2004 I was told that the Silver Cloud in Lake Union has free parking. You might contact them to see if you can leave your car for a week. sail mail Posted June 21, 2004 #9 Share Posted June 21, 2004 We stayed at the Wyndham directly across from the airport. The front desk offered to "call a cab" which turned out to be limo service charging us $35 instead of the $22 it would have cost to call a Yellow Cab ourselves. If you need a cab from a hotel near the airport, call 622-6500 for a Yellow Cab. I wouldn't recommend the Wyndham for more reasons than just the cab.
