Kreeb Posted March 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2011 We ordered a bottle of vodka from Bon Voyage. Is there a way to get a bar set-up, such as mixers, glasses, etc. for our stateroom?
Frank12 Posted March 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2011 Bring your own mixers or buy them onboard. Ask your cabin steward for glasses, etc.
Litewait Posted March 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2011 When I ordered thru Bon Voyage for my cruise on March 11th they specifically asked if I wouls like a bar set up. Dont know how much but you can get one..

Kreeb Posted March 23, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Has anyone ordered a bar set up when you ordered your liquor through Bon Voyage. What is included? What about prices?
64Chevy Posted March 23, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2011 I wonder what is included in the "bar setup" we are ordering vodka and rum but this could be helpful too. Sailing April 9 -DREAM
bigdaddyvoges Posted March 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2011 This has been a question I have been asking all week. What constitutes a "bar set up" when buying a bottle through BV. Mach mentioned it in one of his posts and he didn't respond when asked what it was later on in the thread. Mach please answer if you can, or can someone else answer this as well. Thanks!!! bigdaddyvoges Posted March 23, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Anything? I can assume this means glasses and ice, but just a clarification would help. Thanks.
cls624 Posted March 23, 2011 #9 Share Posted March 23, 2011 I ordered 2 bottles of alcohol for our April 2 cruise on the Dream, and they never said anything about a Bar set-up. Interesting!
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 23, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Similar questions on the Carnival funville forums indicate that you have to pay extra for any mixers. Some juices (orange and tomato) can be ordered free from Room Service 24 hours a day, but these come by the glass. Give Bon voyage a call and ask or bring your own with you in your carry on. craftykitty Posted March 23, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 23, 2011 I just spoke to Carnival Bon Voyage Department, they do not offer a "bar set-up".

BV will charge you for juices if you order them through BV. (And trust me - the orange juice from BV is awful  as it is the canned variety, not the kind you get from room service, or anywhere else on the ship!). You can bring on your own non-alcoholic mixers or juice as part of your allotted 'soft drink' carry-on allowance.
valtandc Posted March 23, 2011 #13 Share Posted March 23, 2011 slip your steward a few bucks the first day. tell him you request to have certain items at a certain time. it has worked for me the few times i have cruised. keep in mind it will mostly be juices since they are free. and they usually bring ice and a few extra glasses. So if I wanted a pitcher of lemonade, lemon and lime slices and a full ice bucket twice a day, what's the tip worth in your opinion?
DEBnGAB Posted March 23, 2011 #15 Share Posted March 23, 2011 I highly doubt your steward would bring juices, rooms service will but by the glass..extra ice and glasses, no problem.
BelizePlease Posted March 23, 2011 #16 Share Posted March 23, 2011 When we cruised and had booze in the room...we ordered a variety of juice from room service. Tip a couple bucks and there you go! We got like 3 tomato juices, 3 orange juices, etc... The Room Service lady SO knew what we were doing. She said..."Enjoy your juice!!" LOL :D
