Just got off Voyager and Rico Debril (not sure of spelling of last name) is current CD.

 

Leo Pappas is his Assistant and took over for him while he was on vacation.

 

He will be CD there for at least 2 more months.

 

 

Darn..... I was really hoping Leo got promoted :( We sailed with him twice and then ran into him in Grand Cayman. What a great guy. Oh well, maybe someday soon he will have his own ship :)

 

I heard there is a new CD for the Navigator this week. If no one else reports who it is I'll be sure to do so after our next cruise.

I have been reading several reviews from the last month on here that Becky Thompson is on the Brilliance? Anyone else heard this?

 

I have not heard this.

 

However I seem to remember someone awhile back stating that Becky Thompson does not have any regular ship. Most of the time she is filling in for people on vacation so she is only on each ship anywhere from a couple weeks to a couple months. Anyone else heard this?

I see Alan Brooks is listed on Serenade of the Seas, but from what I heard as of September he had left the company. He was my favorite CD so if anyone knows anything, please let me know.

The review just says 'alan something'. Since I am only aware of one Alan that is CD I took the assumption it was Alan Brooks. If anyone knows different, please let us know.

Graham posted on here back in Dec. He said he will be on vacation till Feb. He also said he Navigator should be his permanent ship. Not sure if the plans changed or not. Someone reported a new CD on Navigator but no one has confirmed who it is yet.

We are sailing on the Brilliance 2/3/06 and I just heard from Royal Caribbean with a list of cruise director and talent. The CD was listed as Peter Benfield. The first time I asked RCI they told me it would be Bill Brockhurst (spelling?), but now they sent me new email today with update. We had Bill when we were on the Serenade a few yrs ago and he was not very good. We had just had Gordon Whatman 2 yrs in a row and he has been by far the best CD we have had...(10 Royal Carib. cruises).

Hi Bloomie;

Besides Peter, what other talent did they tell you about on the Brilliance. We are going to be on the Brilliance for the 3/27 and 4/28 sailings and would like to know who is playing in the Centrum, the Schooner, and the Colony Club. We have been on with Peter three times before. His performance with the head chef where they make a Black Forest cake is not to be missed.

Hi Wyattm;

We are doing fine and as you can see from the signature, we still "Get Out There" whenever possible. We expect to be in the Diamond Plus category by November. We are active in several Roll Calls so you can usually find us there. Hope you are doing fine and will join us at sea again soon.

Where is Gordon. I have heard that he is comming back to the Radiance after dry dock. Is this true.

No unfortunately not

 

I talked to Marc Walker on the Radiance and he told me that Peter Benfield will take over for him on Feb. 5th.

Peter will stay on Radiance for app. 5-8 weeks.

He was not able to tell me who will take over from Peter or where Peter will go but I probably have a source on the ship so that I can tell you as soon as Peter will be onboard.

 

Marc Walker is heading to the Monarch for a short period and then will go on Legend out of Southampton.

Probably will meet again on the Brilliance TA.

Put a deposit down for a cabin recently. But I'm not sure if I want to go transatlantic again - even if there are some friends from last on that ship.
