Gr8Mariner Posted March 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2011 What is the smallest denomination you can use in Epic's casino? My Father passed thirty years ago and I just found his lucky stash of dimes...I'm sure that I'll have to go to Nevada to use them...but I thought that I'd ask. Toyz711 Posted March 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2011 even in las vegas, casinos don't use coins. paper money in, paper ticket out. you would have to find a very old slot machine to have a coin slot.
sdmike Posted March 24, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2011 I believe they have penny slots, so those dimes may go a long way. You'll just have to turn them into bills first
pmatawan Posted March 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2011 If they are that old, they may be silver and worth alot more then 10 cents.
Maryfrei Posted March 24, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2011 If they are that old, they may be silver and worth alot more then 10 cents. I was just about to say that, lol! I think it is maybe 1964 or 1963 and earlier??
patseacruiser Posted March 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 24, 2011 Yeah don't just chuck those dimes in a machine until you know they're worth nothing more than ten cents.
garycarla Posted March 24, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2011 Even when casinos had machines that took coins, very few took dimes. They do not like them in the mechanism - too small or something. In fact, when you get change at the casino, you will not see dimes. Just nickels and quarters.
BurtonRiderT6 Posted March 24, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 24, 2011 1964 is the year I believe they changed from silver to a cheap alloy I think.
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted March 24, 2011 #9 Share Posted March 24, 2011 Even when casinos had machines that took coins, very few took dimes. ... Which is probably why he had the stash of dimes -- all the nickels and quarters were already eaten by those one armed bandits! :D Tom
