This is the best dessert ever!!!!!!! I am so hungry now.

But then it was time for dessert! Bitter and Blank for me tonight! And it was as good as everyone on CC had said!! Imagine our surprise when the waitress brought it out with a candle in it, announcing we were celebrating our Anniversary and would everyone join them singing the "Happy Versary" song. Our anniversary is two months away, and not why we were cruising, but we went along with it.

That night we came back to our cabin to find an elephant had joined us!

We then all headed up to one of the Family Comedian Shows - VERY FUNNY!!!!

Great Review. My husband will be on this ship in October. This will be our first cruise and I loved reading your review with all the pics. Since we're never been on a cruise I have a question about the dresscode in the MDR. Is jeans and a nice shirt ok? My husband and I are very simple people and do not have tons of "fancy" cloths!!!

Jeans and a nice shirt are ok. (In fact, they are allowed per Carnival guidelines.) They would like you to dress up a bit more on "Elegant" night. If you had a pair of Kakhi's or even black jeans with a nicer shirt, I think you would be ok, though.

I will tell you, you will not feel out of place. We dressed each evening, but saw gym shorts and t-shirts every night except probably elegant night, and ball caps two nights (men and women). They were the exception, but still present.

Have a fabulous cruise!

My wife and i both cook and are foodies , We find pretty much all the food on cruises to be bland . Not just carnival . But we know this ahead of time as you can not spice up food that you are cooking for a shipfull of folks w/ different taste..

We bring a small container of one of the many cajun seasoning blends w/ us on every cruise. usually by the second night everyone at the table is using it. I also take a couple of extra cans to use as gifts either to the staff or table mates.
