Okay to bring water on Constellation?

This has never been a problem before but I have heard it may be a problem now. Has anyone recently been on the Constellation and brought a case of bottle water with no problems? Or problems? I want to be prepared. Thank you! :)

I was on the 3/12 sailing and we took two cases of water. No problem at all!

Not just water, soda too. Just slap one of your extra luggage tags on the case and leave it with the porters.

 

PS: Don't forget to tip them for these "bags."

After you go through final security and before you go up to board the ship there are a few shops. You can buy wine and water and take on the ship. No further checks.

No so in Ft. Lauderdale, or Miami, or many other ports. In fact, the only port I can think of off hand that has a shop like this is in San Juan.

WalMart has a box containing 3 gallon jugs. The cost for each gallon? $0.62, plus tax.

 

On a 14-day cruise I bring 3 boxes. Total cost: a little over $6.00.

 

Now that is a bargain....

Why bring bottled water at all? The water from the taps on the ship is the same water that they use to make ice. It is safe to drink and tastes just fine to this Brooklyn girl who is used to drinking our fine NYC water(not kidding- it's the best) Just bring along some BPA free water bottles for taking water off the ship and you are good to go. Do you know how pure that cheap Walmart water is?

Better than the ship's water with the residual sodium in it. The spring water has 0% sodium.

Hey, I'm not twisting anybody's arm to do something that works for me. If you like ship's water, drink ship's water. If you don't, there ARE alternatives.
