Suggestions for Charlottetown by Foot

Recommended Posts

DH and I are going to be in Charlottetown in June and will have the morning free from 9:00 to about noon.

Does anyone have recommendations for the sites to see, places to shop for local items, etc, as we walk around town?

When we were in Charlottetown we walked up to Provence House and enjoyed some Canadian history. They have a movie about the first meeting to discuss confederation which took place in that building. There is also the cathedral across the street.

If I remember right, it is about 3 - 4 blocks from the pier. A very easy walk.

One thing I discovered in the shops near the pier - PEI potato chips - very good. Be careful of the packaging though. The same size bag that had "Ann of Green Gables" labels were about $1 more than the ones that didn't have label in another store.
