Transport from LAX to Cruise Port?

Wondering if anyone has attempted or used some other means of transport to and from LAX to the cruise port in LA? My wife and I seemed to think that we could cab it and save $ or find some other shuttle other than the several hunder dollar RCCL shuttle....

 

We're going with 2 other friends so there would be 4 of us...is a cab ride feasible? Or should we just use the RCCL one?

4 in a cab with luggage would be pushing it. Check out www.supershuttle.com or www.primetimeshuttle.com for shared ride vans. The 4 of you can get there for about $50 or 55. Be sure to go as a group of 4 instead of two groups of 2 because it is cheaper.

I asked the same question on the RCI board and was given the name Golden West Express. Look them up on the internet and give them a call.
