Need help with Caye's

We will be in Belize on the Legend the first week of May. I checked and only 2 ships are in port that day.

Last time there we went to Bannister Island, loved it!!

This time we want to do some snorkeling from the beach and some laying around on the beach.

We are looking at Caulkers Caye on a water taxi, because it is less expensive.

But, Goff's Caye looks great too.

Questions???

With only 2 ships in port will either be very crowded.

And can someone give me the pros and cons of each island!!

Thanks in advance.

Just off the Legend Sunday. We went to Caulker (3rd time). We love it there and are going to spend at least a week in the future. As far as snorkeling goes, it's not the best bet. You'll see some fish at the "Split" where everyone drinks & swims, but the rest of the area is flat sand. Caulker is outstanding, but Shore Snorkelings not the best.

Any input about Goff's Caye? That is where we are thinking of going, via CCL's excursion. You don't have to tender to shore then.

Thanks,

Goff's Cay is 150' long, maybe 60' wide. It's a tiny spit of reef and sand that has some average coral and some small fish. Not bad for a beginner's snorkel tour. Benefit of CCL is direct to the Cay, avoid the tender to port. Snorkel tour does divide into "beginners" and those who have snorkelled before......

Have been to Goffs Cay twice and LOVE it. Its very small, but beautiful. We snorkled off of the boat both times and saw LOTS of fish and beautiful coral. Not as much if you go off the beach...but you will still see plenty. We saw some larger fish just off the boat. We think of Goffs as paradise...
