Hampton Inn Coconut Grove

Has anyone stayed at the Hampton Inn Coconut Grove ? If so, is this a pretty decent area as well as much to do, we will be coming into Miami the day before our cruise on Jun 10th.

The hotel is situated right off the main road, so it is in a busy, high-traffic location. The heart of "The Grove" is about 5 minutes away by car ... CocoWalk, Mayfair, including all the other shops and restaurants. If you do not have a car, I don't recommend walking there; you should take a taxi, and then you can walk around once you're there.

Also nearby is Vizcaya Museum and Gardens which is lovely for a day visit if you have the time.

I second Vizcaya but go early morning. The afternoon heat is brutal.

Thank you for your reply. We will have our car so that won't be an issue.

There are a number of really good restaurants in Coconut Grove. I was actually down there on Saturday night and ate at Jaguar, next to CocoWalk, before going to the Improv Comedy club. Great ceviche, great drinks, reasonable prices, and it was a beautiful evening to dine outside. You'll have a plethora of choices!
