What to do before flight home?

We get off the Carnival Glory in Miami on a Sunday Morning. We don't fly home until 6 p.m. out of FLL. We are picking up a rental car at MIA when we get off the ship and will drive ourselves to the airport in FLL. What are some suggestions of something to do for several hours either in Miami or FLL area. We considered going to Sawgrass Mills mall, Getting a day room at a FLL area hotel, any other suggestions. any good tours or sightseeing out there?

We went to the Miami Zoo. I didn't want to go to a beach or do anything that would be sandy & require a shower afterwards.
