Bob&Lisa Posted March 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2005 Hi, We are sailing on the Zuiderdam on April 30th, would appreciate any information, tips, secrets, good and bad about ship. It's only our second cruise (RCCL, Enchantment) so we need lots of help. Has anyone done the horse back riding excursion on Half Moon Cay? We have a VA cabin, any advice? All comments appreciated. Thanks, B&L

super_grover Posted March 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2005 There are at least 3 or 4 threads talking about the horseback riding. If you look for my previous posts you will pretty much get the whole lowdown.
flgirl Posted March 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2005 I just got off the Zuiderdam at the end of February. It was a real pleasure. Click on my link for pictures. You'll find the water in Half Moon a bit chilly but as you move further south it will be very comfortable. Have a great trip!
Bob&Lisa Posted March 12, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted March 12, 2005 Thanks for the info. and the great pictures flgirl, super_grover and trinity1. Does anyone have any info. on the prices for ship photos (e.g., formal nights, dinner, etc.)? As we've stated, this will be our second cruise (hopefully we'll become seasoned cruisers like yourselves), but on our cruise with RCCL, how should I (Lisa) put it, we (or I) got hosed! Probably because I didn't know if I would ever have an opportunity to cruise again. N-E-way, any info? Thanks in advance! p.s., Any info on the fitness center would be great too. I'm a workout fanatic. I like to burn off what I consume, which is quite a bit. I have a huge appetite, which is why I have to workout.
PrincessMelody Posted March 13, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2005 From what I can remember, we paid like $28 each for formal 8x10's and around 10-15 for 5x7's...which were mostly the pictures taken at various ports, during lifeboat drill, at embarkation, etc. One of my favorite pictures was taken in the dining room on the first formal night, it was like a panoramic shot, and one half of the shot was us at our table, and the other half was a pretty picture of the dining room and was inscribed "Zuiderdam September 2004" Very nice.
