Transfer Fiumicino to Civitavecchia

After a straight through flight from NZ to Heathrow,then a transfer to Rome. We will be too jet lagged to cope with trains or taxi drivers so we are treating ourselves to a night at the Airport Hilton. The next day19th July, we would like to transfer to Civitavecchia,but with a 2hr approx stop at the ruins at Ostia Antica. Has anyone done this & if so can they recommend a transport company. Thanks If anyone is interested in sharing transfer etc that's great

Yes. Contact Stefano at RomeCabs. The email should be RomeCabs (at) yahoo.com. We have used him about four times for transfers, plus other trips from Rome. We now consider him a friend and have even had dinner with him. Ostia Antica is great and we prefer over Pompeii as there is lots of shade. It is about 15 minutes from the airport and we stopped there for about two hours on our way to the airport. We had him stay with our bags as we walked around on our own. Don't miss the museum. Have a great time.

We used Driverinrome several times and were very pleased.

We've used limoinrome.com three times. They're always waiting for us at the dock, they allow plenty of time, and the price is reasonable. I would recommend them highly.

We've also used driverinrome a couple of times and like the majority of limo services highly recommended on the Ports of Call boards you can arrange your transportation for reliable service. I don't blame you for avoiding the trains or cabs.

If you have not yet joined the Roll Call for your sailing please do so. There might be others wishing to join you for a stop at Ostia Antica on your way to the ship.
