CruisersfromMD Posted April 10, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hi Donna, Thanks for the info. For some reason from my notes, I had written down that the formal nights were the 2nd and 5th nights. Could you give me the e-mail address so that I can e-mail RC about my sailing? (I already made a reservation for Samba Grill which I may need to change as it may be a formal night). Thanks, Rachel I e-mailed RC and this is the response I got. NolaFireLI Posted April 10, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hi - I'm also sailing on May 8th and was informed that the 2nd formal night would not be the night we leave Cozumel and would be the Thursday, the 2nd day at sea. I can't see how they, RCI, could make the formal night for Cozumel as we don't leave the port until 7pm. It makes no sense whatsoever. IMHO Any Recent Allure Western Caribbean cruisers back could tell us, since the scheduling change has happened after they added Falmouth (and took away Costa Maya)

malprl Posted April 11, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 11, 2011 We had formal nights the 2nd and 5th night - (Costa Maya) on the March 13th cruise. I don't think they will have a formal night on the day you go to Cozumel.
ucfknight07 Posted April 11, 2011 #9 Share Posted April 11, 2011 Our formal nights on the 3/27 sailing were the second and fifth (sea day before Cozumel).
teetee91477 Posted April 12, 2011 #10 Share Posted April 12, 2011 So....is there a right answer? It seems like they do something different every time! I booked Chops Grille for our 5th day (sea day) and was planning on having the formal night on the 6th day (Cozumel) because that's what I was told as well! Anybody on this itinerary recently that can clarify? Thanks!

teetee91477 Posted April 13, 2011 #12 Share Posted April 13, 2011 I emailed Royal and they said that the formals for this sailing (Western) would be day 2 and day 5....not day 6 when we will be in Cozumel! Now I need to change my specialty dining!

Babyberger Posted April 13, 2011 #14 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Of course everything is subject to change, but I think the formal nights are now pretty standard with Western formal nights on 2 & 5, and Eastern on 2 & 6.
