go titans Posted April 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Has anyone stayed at the Sleep Inn located in Dania, Fl? Need any information on it asap. Also, what about restaurants, etc within walking distance. Thanks!
huxlemo Posted April 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2011 We stayed there a few years ago when we cruised of out Fort Lauderdale. They have shuttle service so they picked us up at the airport. The hotel is decent for a one night stay. There is a Walgreens in the parking lot and a small plaza across the street. The plaza has a few local restaurants and a Publix grocery store. The hotel has a decent free breakfast in the morning. We took the hotel shuttle to the port in the morning. Make sure to sign up for a shuttle time as soon as you arrive. Bottom line.....I would stay there again the night before a cruise.
Summer Lovin Posted April 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2011 We stayed there just last June. It's fine for one or two nights. The staff was very helpful. There is a walgreens in front of the hotel, and an italian and mexican restraunt across a small street. The italian restraunt is small but was very good. We signed up for the shuttle at 10:00am, and were on the ship by 11:30. Have a great time!!

bjkTX Posted April 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2011 We also stayed there with a large group from our Roll Call and we all enjoyed it and the free shuttle. For the price we thought it was a good deal. On our cruise a couple of months ago we stayed at the Cambria Suites (cheaper if you join the Choice club) which also had a free shuttle and was also very nice. packedandready Posted April 15, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2011 Don't know if this post is too late, but....we stayed there 1 night 3-31. If you're looking for something fancy this is not it, but if you're looking for something decent and clean it's just fine. This staff is friendly and helpful and as been already said there are a couple of restaurants across the street, a pharmacy and a grocery store. We had read some bad things about shuttle service from different hotels and had originally planned to take a taxi to the pier. After speaking with the front desk staff decided to use their free shuttle and it was perfect. We would stay there again.
