prepaying gratuities

I have my cruise booked and would like to figure out how to pay for gratuities before we board so that it's one less expense for the end of the cruise. I couldn't see anywhere to do that. I went into my cruise area and just don't see anywhere to do things with my onboard account. I also can't find where you add soda cards, etc. I'm just trying to prepay as much as possible. I find that I'm not too excited at the end of the cruise when I have to pay so much. I know it costs that much either way, but I'd rather deal with it now. Can you help me?

We're sailing in December on the Liberty.

To prepay your tips, I would call your PVP or TA - they can take care of that for you

You can also put money on your cabin through the Bon Voyage Department; we have done this for years and its nice to go o n the ship and have a credit balance......makes our bill at the end a bit easier to digest :)

Another thing we often do is pre-order alcohol as well - this is nice as we can have beverages on our balcony.

I never knew you could put money on your account through BV dept. That I may have to try

You can call carnival and pre pay your tips before you leave.

The soda card you can as well but im not sure how you will get the little sticker. We do it the first day on the lido deck.

remember you can at any time go to the pursers desk and add cash to your account .I do this if I lose big in the casino I will go right down stairs and pay my bill off

Mike - It's just like fun ship dollars except you are not going to get the dollars ;) We do it every year and love going on the ship with a credit!

gotcha ..that sounds good to maybe buy $50 per month or something and if you have a year before you cruise you have a nice credit .I will never go on a cruise without buying a future cruise certificate again. Its like money in the bank

I just saw you are from Ocala .I lived there with my parents for a few years in my teens before moving back north

NE 7th street right by silver springs

Small world - we are South of Ocala......about 20 minutes from Silver Springs :)

When ordering the fun ship dollars do you have to specify that you want it applied as on OBC? We prepaid tips for the first time this year. Nice to know we won't see that on our bill.

I have been purchasing fun ship dollars for our June 23rd cruise, can those be applied as gratuities. How much will the tips be for a 4 night Glory cruise to Canada? Thanks and Happy Cruising:p

When you call, just let them know you would like to add credit to your cabin - they know not to mail the funship dollars.....

I'm a first time cruiser so this is a dumb question I know but do they mail the funship dollars to you? If so, do they expire? How do you spend them later? Do you add it to your S&S when you get there?

Not a dumb question - they will mail them to you, often people get them as a gift for someone who has a booked cruise. When you get on the ship, you go to the Pursers Desk and they will put them on your account. If you are buying them for yourself it really is easier to just have them placed on your cabin; this way you avoid a line
